The status map in Icinga Web is really nifty, its a little candy inside waiting to be clicked around in, but it can improve:

  • Having the ability to auto refresh the status map would be really helpful, rather then the static information it holds today from the time it loaded(which makes the map itself live!
  • Dont forget for the feature above, if you have browsed yourself down to a node, dont reset the current node/host the user is at. (In a live environment I've seen over 25 layers deep, many clicks to get back, just to be reset to the root)
  • Option for hosts that has iheritance(childs/parents), would be to click "here" to see it in the map ;-)
  • Search function, search for a host in the map itself, to extend upon the suggestion above to find the host on map :-)
