this would be useful to set a dedicated timeout value for longer lasting checks (e.g. database queries or vmware) as well as shorter checks (http, etc).

should be taken into account once the general check timeout is implemented in #2723

native plugins should provide a timeout option themselves, but not all of them are properly implemented following the plugin api dev guidelines.

on the command object, the attribute shall be named "timeout".
