something like ido2db -v ido2db.cfg [idomod.cfg]

for both:

  • check on socket type, if not matching scream like a little baby
  • unix -> .sock
  • tcp -> ip

for ido2db

  • maybe read the db config and try to connect to database?
  • unix -> .sock
  • tcp -> ip
  • furthermore, check on icinga.cfg if event broker module is enabled? (big ?)
