[dev.icinga.com #10912] Tactical Overview screen is limited, doesn't match published screenshots

Now that I have Icinga Web 2 up and running, my Overview / "Tactical Overview" looks nothing like the one shown at https://www.icinga.org/icinga/screenshots/icinga-web-2/ (https://www.icinga.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/Screen-Shot-2015-10-02-at-00.12.40.png).

With the default configuration, all I see is a giant red "1 Host Down" box, with a smaller "10 Unknown" and "1 OK" box directly below. No Hosts vs. Services, no "Monitoring Features", and no "Host and Service Checks". Mine looks more like http://www.monitoring-portal.org/wbb/index.php?page=Attachment&attachmentID=7618&h=407d075b33f95e89b2c72f82313a1d4131b6ebd7 , from http://www.monitoring-portal.org/wbb/index.php?page=Thread&threadID=34949 , or as attached.

Looking at https://github.com/Icinga/icingaweb2/blob/master/modules/monitoring/application/controllers/TacticalController.php , it appears all of the details I'm hoping for are accounted for in the code, but simply are not (currently) displaying.

In addition to the screenshots linked above at https://www.icinga.org/icinga/screenshots/icinga-web-2/ , the previous(?) version of the "Tactical Overview" is also featured at https://www.icinga.org/2015/10/02/icinga-web-2-0-0-the-final-version-is-unleashed/ .

It looks like a good portion of the artifacts that used to exist here were removed at 3e93d62 ("Redesign of tactical overview to get ready for full screen", 2015-11-12).

I'm not sure what the "get ready for full screen" is about, but maybe there is a need for 2 screens here (one for full screen, and one without) - rather than crippling the current Tactical Overview? As-is, I will feel compelled to consider running a concurrent Icinga Classic UI instance to be able to view a "working" Tactical Overview.
