Icinga Version: r2.2.3-1

Hello guys,

I'm trying to put together a cluster scenario with two masters, and several satellites (with full icinga2 instances, web, ...), something like this: http://i.imgur.com/aTgvs4a.png

I'm using Debian 7.7 64bit with icinga2 r2.2.3-1.

All ok, until the replication of local defined checks in the satellites to the master.

Using the icinga2 node update-config generate files for the already defined hosts/endpoints/zones.
What i did, was removing (in master1) all those repeated definitions in /etc/icinga2/repository.d/
restart icinga2.

I saw that, in master2 the /var/lib/icinga2/api/repository was repopulated but the hosts added in master1 still doesn't appear in the front-end icingaweb2.

So i repeated the process in master2, running update-conf and removing all those repeated definitions.

This is what is saw by the masters in node list http://i.imgur.com/uVMoDrh.png
This are the files i kept in both masters after update-config http://i.imgur.com/VyBDViJ.png

I'm opening this ticket because i think this is not the expected behavior. At least a couldn't find any instructions in the docs.

Thanks in advance,
João Graça

Added a hint regarding update-config for HA setups

At the moment, this command doesn't work if your configuration master is part of a HA setup.
May folks, including me, stumbled accross this fact. See https://dev.icinga.org/issues/8292 and
http://www.monitoring-portal.org/wbb/index.php?page=Thread&postID=212236&highlight=#post212236 for details.

Adding this hint to the documentation will be really helpful.

That's discussed here, and not really a bug - http://www.monitoring-portal.org/wbb/index.php?page=Thread&postID=212236&highlight=#post212236 - comment here if it turns out to be one through the community support channels.
