A service icinga2 reload doesn't validate the icinga2 configuration. This causes icinga2 to silently fail on config errors, only being reported in the log file.

One solution would be to add "checkconfig reload fail" on top of the reload section of the init-script.

-Script (icinga2-reload) which sends SIGHUP to the parent process and runs config validation afterwards
