I would like to see a feature where you can set a parameter that you do not want to see a specific column and make it account wide.

This is usefull for example to hide away the "Instance" column, since this is not usefull to 9 out of 10 users. Maybe set a "policy" setting for it?

You can do this by creating your own xml templates (/app/modules/Cronks/data/xml/grid/*)and hide fields you don't want.

We should persist the grid column model.

It's outdated.

The column model is persistent now. You can simply hide a column and this is persistent till your next session
