Assignee: jdunmire
Status: Feedback
Target Version: Backlog
Last Update: 2015-05-18 12:17:53 +00:00 (in Redmine)

Icinga Version: 1.9.3
Icinga Web Version: 1.9.3
IDO Version: 1.9.3
OS Version: Ubuntu 12.04.3
DB Type: MySQL
DB Version: 5.5.34
Browser Version: Firefox 25.0

The over written settings in /etc/icinga-web/settings.xml are not applied until the original file, /usr/share/icinga-web/app/config/settings.xml, is 'modified'.

I am trying to change the application name using the attached settings file. I have tried restarting Apache, Icinga, and even rebooting the system.

If I update the modification time on the /usr/share/icinga-web/app/config/settings.xml then the overwrites are applied. (sudo touch -m /usr/share/icinga-web/app/config/settings.xml)

You probably didn't clear the cache, or have modified the original settings.xml in a way it does not include the overridden file.
