[dev.icinga.com #13361] Rotate Icinga log files on Windows #4815
Comments

Maybe inspired by https://github.com/gabime/spdlog |

Would logging to Windows Event Log be an alternative to rolling our own log rotation? (see #8710) |
I consider "Prefer feature X or Y?" another construction area than "Does feature X work as expected?". |
Any news on this issue? |
Icinga 2.13 started logging to the Windows Event Log by default which handles expiring old messages automatically. |
– https://icinga.com/docs/icinga-2/latest/doc/16-upgrading-icinga-2/ No mainlog – no mainlog rotation needed. |
